The Timeline

The dated events of the record, seeded from the back matter of The Voice on Ibiza and extended with the dated documents. Dates given as “c.” are approximate. Where the record disagrees with itself, as it does on the year of birth, the disagreement is shown rather than resolved.

1. 1947 or 1948 Montreal
   Born Alan Robert Krakower in Montreal, Canada. The organization that holds his work gives April 9, 1948; the family death notice gives April 9, 1947. The discrepancy is unresolved in the record. Source: Jovian Archive biography; the family death notice; see the drifting numbers.
2. 1969 Montreal

3. 1971 Montreal

4. 1973 Montreal
   A job-appointment notice, a vice presidency at Alpha Data Ltd., Victoria, British Columbia. The documented working life in Canada, advertising, magazine publishing, and media, belongs to this period and the years around it. Source: Newspaper record; the organizations’ own career summaries.
5. 1983 The island

6. c. 1984 The island
   Renting the intact house below the ruin in the Ibizan campo. Source: His own recorded account.
7. 1985 The island
   The close approach of Halley’s Comet, which he later described as a precursor to the encounter that followed. Source: His own recorded account (“The Halley Event”).
8. January 1987 The island
   The eight-day encounter in the ruin, beginning January 3, by his own account. He takes the name Ra Uru Hu. There was no witness. Source: His recorded tellings; the published foreword to the Rave I Ching; his-account register.
9. March 1987 The island

10. 1988 The island
    The first hand-drawn BodyGraphs; an early gathering he called a “coming out party” for the teaching. Source: His own recorded account.
11. 1989 The building years

12. 1991 The building years

13. February 1992 The island

14. 1992 The building years

15. 1993 The building years

16. November 24, 1993 America

23. 1996 to 1997 The institution

25. 1999 The institution

26. 1999 to May 2000 The institution

39. 2018 to 2019 The estate

40. June 3, 2020 The courts

41. 2022 to 2023 The boom
