What the record shows
No registration of the bare phrase “The Human Design System” exists: the three word-mark applications, filed in 2004, 2022, and 2023, were each abandoned. The owner’s live United States registrations are its own brand names and its design imagery, and the two 2025 brand-name registrations each carry the express disclaimer that no claim is made to the exclusive right to use “HUMAN DESIGN” apart from the mark as shown.
What the book establishes from it
Chapter Thirteen of The Voice on Ibiza, “The trademark record,” reads these filings as the estate’s consolidation in registry form, and Chapter Fourteen sets the 2024 lapse beside the Florence ruling: the name could not be kept as a trademark, and the system could not be owned as copyright.
