The U.S. Trademark Record

The U.S. federal trademark filings for the Human Design System and the related marks held by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

This page is a permanent reference for Section 1 of the public record. Every fact below is drawn from the USPTO record for the cited serial or registration number. Readers can verify each entry at tsdr.uspto.gov by entering the serial or registration number given. A per-serial summary table, with each entry linked into TSDR, is at the document gallery. The same 9 filings are published in structured form at /record/trademark.json (retrieved 2026-06), free to cite with attribution.

“The Human Design System” Word Marks — All Lapsed

Three U.S. applications to register “The Human Design System” as a word mark have been filed. All three are dead. No live U.S. word-mark registration exists for the phrase.

  • Serial 78500640 — owner Jovian Archive Corporation (Toronto, Canada; organized in Arizona, USA). International Class 041. DEAD; abandoned 2006. Filed with a disclaimer of the words “HUMAN” and “SYSTEM” apart from the mark as shown. Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 78500640 (retrieved June 2026).
  • Serial 97642294 — owner Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). DEAD; abandoned. Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 97642294 (retrieved June 2026).
  • Serial 98217560 — owner Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). International Class 041. DEAD; abandoned October 1, 2024 for failure to respond to an Office action. Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 98217560 (retrieved June 2026).

Note The corporate migration documented in the corporate record is also visible in the trademark trail: the oldest word-mark application (serial 78500640) was filed under Jovian Archive Corporation, the Arizona-organized, Toronto-based entity, while the two recent applications (serials 97642294 and 98217560) were filed under Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd., the Singapore entity. See Section 3 — Corporate Record of the public record.

The Mandala Design Mark — Cancelled Once, Now Live

The design mark on the system’s central image (five concentric circles carrying the 64 I Ching hexagrams and astrological symbols, with the bodygraph torso at the center) has been registered twice. The first registration was cancelled in 2018; a second filing made the same year is registered and live.

  • Serial 78500739 — owner Jovian Archive Media, Inc. (Toronto, Canada). Filed October 15, 2004; registered July 17, 2007 as Registration 3264277. DEAD; cancelled February 23, 2018: “Registration cancelled because registrant did not file an acceptable declaration under Section 8.” Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 78500739 (retrieved June 2026).
  • Serial 88009411 — owner Jovian Archive Media Ltd. Filed June 21, 2018; registered July 9, 2019 as Registration 5797541. LIVE; Section 8 declaration of continued use accepted June 13, 2025. Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 88009411 and registration 5797541 (retrieved June 2026).

Note A design registration protects the specific image used as a brand. It does not reach the methodology the image depicts, the word “bodygraph,” or the practice of computing and reading charts. It is also distinct from the image rights history documented in Section 4 — Bodygraph Image Rights of the public record.

Live Composite Marks

Two composite marks, both owned by Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), are live on the U.S. register. Each was registered with an explicit disclaimer of any exclusive right to the words “Human Design” apart from the mark as shown.

  • MyBodyGraph Human Design — owner Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). U.S. serial 97606650; U.S. Registration 7724676. LIVE; registered. Registered with the disclaimer: “No claim is made to the exclusive right to use ‘HUMAN DESIGN’ apart from the mark as shown.” Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 97606650 and registration 7724676 (retrieved June 2026).
  • Jovian Archive Human Design — owner Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). U.S. serial 97639098; U.S. Registration 7892431. LIVE; registered. Registered with the disclaimer: “No claim is made to the exclusive right to use ‘HUMAN DESIGN’ apart from the mark as shown.” Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 97639098 and registration 7892431 (retrieved June 2026).

The BG5 Business Marks — Separate Owner

The BG5 marks are held by a different registrant from the marks above. The USPTO record names the owner as Inner Human Design Inc. (California) — not Jovian Archive.

  • Serial 86762586 — BG5 — owner Inner Human Design Inc. (California). International Class 035 (business advisory services). LIVE; registered. Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 86762586 (retrieved June 2026).
  • Serial 86762612 — BG5 Success Code — owner Inner Human Design Inc. (California). DEAD; abandoned 2016. Source: USPTO TSDR, serial 86762612 (retrieved June 2026).

Jovian Archive and IHDS-affiliated pages have attributed the BG5 mark to Jovian Archive Media Pte. Ltd. This attribution does not reflect the USPTO registration record, which names Inner Human Design Inc. (California) as the registered owner.

To verify independently: at tsdr.uspto.gov, set the search to serial number and enter 86762586; the owner field will show Inner Human Design Inc.
