The Science of Differentiation is an independent work of documentary history and reference, assembled entirely from publicly available sources. This page sets out, in plain terms, what the site is and is not, how it uses names and sources, and how to raise a correction or a concern. It is a good-faith statement of the archive's standards, not a substitute for the reader's own judgment.
What this site is
This is an independent archive: a documentary history and comparative reference for the Human Design System and the schools that grew from it. It is not a school, store, or certifying body, and it is not an official publication of, and is not operated, sponsored, endorsed by, or affiliated with, Jovian Archive, the IHDS, or any Human Design organization. It documents; it does not adjudicate. Its editorial standards and corrections policy are set out on About and Methods.
Sources and the public record
The material here is drawn entirely from publicly available sources — published books and statements, archived web pages, court and trademark-registry filings, and other matters of public record. Claims are attributed and, wherever possible, linked to their source so a reader can check them. The archive distinguishes throughout between what the public record establishes, what a person or organization says of itself, and what a work claims in its own terms.
Names, trademarks, and no endorsement
All system names, trademarks, and keynote terminology referenced on this site — including Human Design, Gene Keys, Quantum Human Design, and others — remain the property of their respective owners. They are used here only for identification, comparison, commentary, and criticism (a use commonly called nominative or descriptive use). Their appearance here does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement, sponsorship, or approval by, those owners. Where the naming or interpretation of a term differs between systems, each version is attributed to its source.
Copyright and fair use
The text on this site is original commentary and reference written by the archive. It is not a reproduction of anyone else's work. Ideas, systems, methods, and procedures are not the kind of thing copyright protects — a principle a court in Florence applied to the Human Design System itself in 2020 (see the Florence ruling). Where the archive compares how different authors name the same element, it reproduces only short identifying labels, each attributed to its source, for the purpose of comparison and commentary; it does not reproduce the authors' descriptive texts or the underlying works. Any direct quotation is brief and attributed. If you hold rights in material you believe has been used improperly, please use the correction and concerns process below.
Corrections, objections, and concerns
Accuracy is the point of this archive, and it is maintained and revised. If you are named or described here, hold rights in referenced material, or believe something is inaccurate, incomplete, or unfair, the archive wants to hear from you. Verifiable errors are corrected promptly, and good-faith objections are reviewed and, where warranted, addressed. Requests can be made through the corrections page or the contact page. Documentation that supports a correction is welcomed and, where it can be verified, incorporated.

This site is for documentary and informational purposes only. Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and nothing here should be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional. Human Design is not an empirically validated system; what the independent record shows about its evidence is set out in the archive's research section. Decisions about your health, finances, or life are yours to make with appropriate professional guidance.
