The national-bibliography negative finding
A document page for an absence. The system’s early books are said to have been published in the German-speaking world from 1991 onward; the national bibliographies of that world were searched for them, and this page records what was searched, what was found, and where a reader can rerun every query.
A negative finding has limits, and they are stated below. Absence from a national catalog is evidence about deposit and cataloguing; it does not by itself establish that no copies were printed.

One ambiguity is recorded rather than resolved: a Munich translator named Jürgen Saupe appears in the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek with no Human Design titles attached. Whether he is the system’s Saupe is not established, and nothing here asserts it.
What the book establishes from it
Chapter Six of The Voice on Ibiza, “Saupe and the Black Book,” uses the finding to frame the strangeness of the system’s early publishing: a book history that its own institutions date to 1991 and 1992 left no deposit trace in the national bibliographies of the countries where it was printed, and the earliest catalogued item under the founder’s name anywhere is a 1999 cassette set. The book states the limits with the finding: small-press deposits fail, and a print run can be real without a catalog record. The absence is reported as an absence.
