Teaching focus

Jürgen Saupe was among the most consequential figures in the founding generation of the Human Design System — not primarily as an analyst or teacher in the classroom sense, but as the person who made it possible for the system to reach Europe and from there the world. In 1992 he translated Ra Uru Hu’s foundational text — known as the black book, “Das Human Design System” — into German, bringing the system into the German-speaking world for the first time. He founded New Sun Services as the publishing and distribution vehicle for Human Design materials in Europe, and served as Ra’s primary translator and interpreter for German-speaking audiences. He was one of the first two teachers to offer complete Human Design analyst training in the German-speaking countries (alongside Martin Grassinger), beginning in 1994. Practitioners trained in the mid-1990s in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland describe being trained by both Ra and Jürgen Saupe. He held the image rights to the Rave BodyGraph from 1992. On his death in July 2002, those rights passed to the Saupe family — not to Jovian Archive. He died in Munich on July 13, 2002. His death prompted the publication of an obituary on the German Human Design community site humandesignsystem.de that described him as having “ein hörendes Herz” — a listening heart — always there for everyone who approached him.
