Chetan Parkyn
Early American student and independent author; his book occasioned the failed Florence copyright suit.
Relationship to the founder
Parkyn studied in the system’s early American years and built an independent teaching and authorship. His Human Design: Discover the Person You Were Born to Be (HarperCollins UK, 2009; New World Library, 2010) became the occasion of the 2020 Florence proceeding, when the official system’s Italian licensee sought to stop its publication in Italian.
What they say
A first-person denunciation of the founder by Parkyn is absent from the accessible public record; his documented quarrel is with the institution. His 2015 essay “Blacklisted” (Osho News) gives his own account of exclusion from the official community, and in the Florence file his 2015 disowning of the Italian project sits against the plaintiffs’ claim of his authorization.
His 2009 book presents the system without naming its founder; neither “Ra Uru Hu” nor “Robert Krakower” appears in its text. The omission is selective rather than a blanket practice: he names and credits the founder in his later The Book of Lines.
How the account is weighed
Interest: Estranged; structural His significance in this record is structural rather than testimonial: he is the early insider whose independent success the institution tried, and failed, to suppress in court. The unnamed founder of the 2009 book, and the trademark caution the public databases associate with such omissions, belong to the record of the dispute rather than to any judgment of his.
